A quick read that shows parents just how easy it is to get started with teaching your child soccer

You don’t need more drills, more travel, or more stress.
You need a simple way to stay active, be present, and guide your child with confidence.
That’s exactly what Soccer Fit Family is built for.
Parents who want to stay active with their kids, not just watch from the sidelines
Families with kids roughly ages 5–12 who are starting or early in their soccer journey
Parents who value connection, confidence, and healthy habits over trophies
Busy moms and dads who want simple, realistic guidance that fits real life
Parents who want to understand youth soccer without becoming overwhelmed or obsessive
Families looking for shortcuts, rankings, or guarantees
Parents who believe more training, more pressure, or more yelling is the answer
Win-at-all-cost mentalities that sacrifice health or relationships
Kids who need specialization, travel teams, or elite performance right now
Anyone expecting someone else to “fix” their child without parent involvement
You love your kids and you love seeing them with a ball at their feet…but there’s a lot coming at you.
You want to move your body more, but between work, meals, homework, and tournaments, the days disappear.
Your child is just starting soccer and you’re not sure what “good development” looks like at this age.
You want soccer to build confidence and character, not pressure, burnout, or constant comparison.
You’re trying to sort out rec vs. club, coaches, costs, travel, and you don’t want to make the wrong decision.
If you're nodding your head to any of this, you're in the right place.

35+ years around the game as a player, coach, and referee
Dad of three soccer kids at different ages and stages
Focused on family-first, development-first soccer
My name is Bobby. I’m a stay-at-home dad of three, a referee, and a former Division I player. In high school I was blessed to earn a college scholarship, become a First-Team All-American, and be named Gatorade Ohio Player of the Year.
I’ve also been on the other side of success. I quit soccer my senior year of college due to burnout. I had to shut down a business that caused my family some serious challenges. Those moments taught me humility, resilience, and what really matters: family, health, and staying coachable.
Now I spend my days helping my kids and other families use soccer as a tool for connection, confidence, and growth. Soccer Fit Family is built on that lived experience—not hype, not theory.
If you’re not sure where to begin, start small. I put together a free Family Soccer Starter Kit to help you take the first step without adding more chaos to your week.
3–4 backyard or driveway sessions (all under 20 minutes)
A simple warm-up you and your child can do together
A “First Season Parent Cheatsheet” so you’re not guessing on the basics
You don’t need special equipment. You just need a ball, a small space, and a willingness to show up.
Every family is different. Some parents just need a few ideas to get started. Others want a steady guide in their corner for a full season.
That’s why I offer a Parent Game Plan Call where we talk through your child’s situation, your schedule, and your goals. From there, we can decide together if one of my coaching program is a good fit—or if you just need a few simple next steps.
The Full Field Fundamentals program includes one-on-one parent mentoring with Bobby to help guide you through this journey. It provides a personalized soccer development and fitness plan, Health and Wellness guidance, and resources to help you navigate and understand the soccer world.
Many successful coaches have never played soccer before. This program will teach you the basics of the game while helping you to communicate, encourage and help your child develop fundamental soccer skills and coordination exercises.
This program emphasizes quality over quantity. We all need to utilize our time effectively. We aim to build new habits with 10-20 micro doses of play and fitness sprinkled throughout the week. Longer sessions will naturally occur over time as you create a fun environment with your family.
Yes, our plans are individually tailored to meet your family where they are in their soccer journey. Whether you've never kicked a ball or have played and want to take your skills and fitness to another level. We work together to identify your soccer and fitness needs to obtain your goals.
The only piece of soccer equipment you need to start is a soccer ball. To enhance your experience we can recommended additional equipment like cones, a fitness ladder and small goals as your engagement level deepens over time.
